There are two main types veneers – porcelain and composite.

Porcelain Veneers / Laminate

Porcelain veneers, also known as porcelain laminates, are thin shells of porcelain which exactly fit over the front surfaces of the teeth. The veneers can completely mask unattractive stains and shape while letting light through to appear entirely real. Porcelain dental veneers are made of a very strong ceramic materials design to last for years even decade.

Porcelain dental veneers can correct both aesthetic and functional conditions such as:

  • Cracks
  • Chips
  • Stains and discolorations from wine and coffee-drinking, tobacco use, and other factors
  • Teeth misalignment
  • Gaps between the teeth
  • Uneven smiles
  • Worn down teeth
  • Short-looking teeth

Porcelain veneers are extremely thin yet very durable porcelain covers for your teeth, which are bonded permanently with strong dental grade cement. Porcelain veneers look great and feel just like your natural teeth.

Composite Veneer / Bonding

Composite veneers are usually placed directly onto the tooth by the Dentist and shaped for individual aesthetics. Composite veneers are a good economical restorative solution to improve the appearance of your teeth. It is also known as bonding. Bonding can be used to close spaces, change the colour of the teeth, mask any discolorations, repair chips, alter the size or shape of teeth, and give jumbled or crooked teeth a straight-looking appearance.
